What are you doing with the top hole chris? I guess that gauge is now redundant?
I slapped a compass in mine...

I've actually connected his speedo to the engine so it should work

Top hole has the log in it, which reads in mph not kts for some strange reason. I guess it is partially redundant as it only goes up to 30mph, so the needle spends most of it's time jammed against the end stop on the far right hand side

Yes tacho and trim came with the engine. As you say with speed log and handheld GPS mounted on the stainless bar I have everything I need to hand. Only possible addition I'm thinking of is an analogue compass to supplement the GPS heading info (which will only work when moving).

Got the handle bar mount this morn. I've fitted it. She's been run up and is now ready for you

I need to look at my diary and see when I can get down to pick Tigga up, and then get out on the water and run this lovely new engine in. Next week is looking a bit too busy so it may have to wait until week commencing 3rd March. New toys and no time to play with them

Yep need to run it in correctly, ours are first 2 hrs at low revs and mixed speeds with none over certainly limits, then more with speed built in but none for more than 5 mins at a time

Better remove the service manual etc from the boat if it's going to be here for a while

Wouldn't have done it today, it's been a bad one. I washed £250 in my pocket then I've blown something up on my truck and when I went to start the car the battery is flat, still can't dwell on it , it's all sent to try me and I can't alter what's done so bugger it
