Musto BR1 Channel Jacket going for £114.95 NEW
Found these on special offer at £114.95, not sure for how long. Normally £164.95. Cheapest I found elsewhere was £145.
Just ordered one. Good enough for Ellen McArthur, good enough for me.

I agree, but.... are you buying it as a fashion garment or as offshore weather protection?

I know it wasn't directed at me but I hardly ever where my HH on a boat. I've still got a Head Worx jacket which is about 14 years old and a HH jacket which is about 11 years old. I find sailing jackets last alot longer compared to other jackets of a similar price.

rich b
Only passing comment. Just think the blue looks the best.
I had been researching the jackets and they have a good reputation. I only boat between april and october and only go coastal so dont need an offshore jacket.
It was between this and the Helly Hanson that my dad has. But they are £179 and the Musto £165...then i found this offer and it swung it. A lot of jacket i thing for the money.
You can get a further 5% off on line as well....so it is only £109 ish

I rang the IOW branch of the store today and he said the offer will end tonight. I ordered one over the phone, then realised there is 5% off on line also. Will phone up tomorrow to moan. Still a bargain. They are stocked in the Scottish store evidently. Free postage too!!

size decision
There is a chart that gives chest size and waist size for L and M. Chest on large is 41-43 and waist 34-37. These measurements are more important than height!! If i went on height id be in a small.
Yes im short and fat!

i went large.
im 5'6 36 waist and 42 chest. Arms will be slightly long but they are double cuffed with velcro.
I wear my dads L Helly Hanson. Fits fine.
There is a no question returns anyway, so dont worry. Just order and try it.

So you went for the large?
I'm 5ft 6 wait 34-36.
Suppose medium is too small?
Do they take it back so if it doesn't fit ?

Well mine arrived this morning, well chuffed! Nice high collar to keep your ears and neck warm.
Knot yets, had a look at the ones @ 39.99 but are the inshore ones, much lighter but still look nice jackets.

Ordered mine on Saturday -arrived today - very pleased
Paul - it's a much thicker jacket than the one we bought the Knot Yet Monster at MarineSuperstore - thanks for clarifying - really pleased with it - it remains to be seen if I actually get to wear it before anyone else in the house halfinches it

Glad you are happy. I got mine and then found it was too big!! After all my pontificating about sizes. I sent it back though and got the medium. I have a 42" chest which is too big for a medium.....though it fits perfectly, well chuffed.
I also asked why they were so cheap, they said they got a bach from musto with 25% off trade price so just thought they would shift them quick to make some money. Cool.
Hope to get a few years out of it at least. I love the high collar, but tapered after the ear so if you turn you can see. Much better than my dad's HH.

Mine turned up this morning, am I the only one who ordered XL?!
Anyway it fits perfect and looks to be a good jacket, if it last as long as my Headworx and Helly Hansen I'll be a happy bunny.
