Don't be silly. His balance isn't that good!

Still, at least he doesn't need an engine on each side to stop his boat falling over....

haha, Solidarity of the Avon SR owners

Will be keeping the flooding option, as well as the trunks, as the way in which i'll be using her, she'll need to sit low in the water for entry and exit.

Trailer should be arriving this week, £500.00 off ebay, BARGAIN.

Good man

you may well be aware that when the boat is sitting in the water the flooding hull pulls the transom cutout close to the water and this often causes the boat to flood.

I've seen some transoms with hypalon stuck over the cutouts which helped keep the water out.

Yeah,

A mate of mine used to have one down at Lymington, he had a 90hp 2-stroke yammie on the back and that'd result in quite a bit of flooding. Until you opened her up and were belting across to Yarmouth at 40+ knots.

We've started calling him Pumpkin Pete. When you shine a pen torch in his mouth, his whole head lights up.

MORE POWER!!!!

Does it make that much difference blocking off the bow and stern?

From standing, agreed, but when you are up on the plain going hell for leather, does it effect?

Not really if it's nice and calm-but it's far easier to handle the rough stuff with the hull blocked off as it takes less time to plane and doesn't fill with water when you get stopped sharpish by a wave.
