My new Boat

Dear all

I am using ribs for safety and other regatta uses since some 15 years. M better half and me finally decided that looking for a sailing boat again is not the best to do. Over the last years we had some sea trials with the kids on Ribs around Helgoland. Fortunately she felt happy to agree on a Rib, finally.
After reading this forum for a couple of while and getting answers to some questions, I knew pretty exactly exactly what is possible, and what not.

After posting this
http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=34767 ,
Andre from Parker UK contacted me. Shortly after that he arranged for seatrials in Gdynia, and then finally end of April "Der Delphin" was delivered to Hamburg. Now me and my family are proud owner of a Parker 630, a 2007 ex-Demo boat since late April.
We spent 10 days on the water sofar, from an hour after work to a 85nm trip to the mouth of River Elbe and back in 4:15hrs, plus resting and idling. The rough has not been thrown at it sofar, except wake from commercial ships.
As mentioned in the other thread, the boat matches my spec. Missis and kids are happy, me too. Worth to mention is the console and seating layout, providing very good protection, and giving the kids save seating.
Some technical details
fuel consumption about 11.2 l/h at 26knots with 3700 revs, less than 8l/h at 22knots and 3200-ish revs. Together with a 110l tank 't gives a reasonable range here, where bunker stations are scarce. As it is a Diesel, if necessary could buy from a fisher men;-)

The pics are iPhone quality only. Hope to get some better ones soon. Helgoland is on the list in 2 weeks time.

Thanks again for advice
regards
Jan

Helgoland is a very interesting place to visit. We stayed there overnight on route from Gdynia to Southampton.
here is a link to our visit http://www.rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24161
