Hi Eoin,
1. Most likely answer is that she never had a plaque. a) because if she really is that year they didn't exist b) most Ospreys don't.
2. If it really is a 1994/5 then it is definitely not a vipermax, assuming it has a soft nose then it is either a Viper or a Falcon
3. Northern Diver won't want anything to do with it
4. Anything else you would like to know?

Hi.
Give Mike Whitham a call, he (or his dad Ralph) would have built the hull and he may be able to advise how it could be identified.

Hi
Thanks for your info and number, this is who has already identified the rib, they say its a vipermax they built it in 94/95 the centre console was only used for a short period of time between 94 and 95.
But the records for the rib will have been held by Northern Diver who were the distributor for osprey at that time.
I have been in contact with osprey and liverpool power boats.

Just to be clear: "Vipermax" and "1994/1995" are mutually exclusive. The Vipermax was not designed until at least 2000. I suspect this means you have a Viper, as if the console has been positively identified then the 1994/5 build time seems more likely.
Liverpool Powerboats won't want anything to do with it and neither will Northern Diver I'm afraid. The best you can do if you really want a manufacturers plate is to simply ask Mike to make one for you.
As I have already said, most Ospreys built even today are not fitted with the plate, and since the plate did not exist or at least had not been brought into legislation by 1994/5 there almost certainly never was one, unless Osprey put a little builders plaque but that is irrelevant for paperwork purposes.

The only thing you might find is the HIN (hull id number) for your Viper(max). I believe the hidden ones are located inside a transom box (if your boat has these)

I brought my Viper from Offshore Components (Northern Diver) in 1994. All I got was a receipt and small card with a hull number on it. In the intervening years I have been all over the boat (which I still have) and there are no manufacturers numbers, dates, or plates anywhere, I haven't even got the Eurocraft date mark on the tubes which some have. If it is a 1994/95 i think it is unlikely you will find anything.

To answer the OP's question of paperwork, I don't recall ANY paperwork being required here in the Republic to sell a craft of that age/value. The gaugers at Revenue would have no interest in the sale
The buyer may want to have proof that you own it, which you have.

For selling the boat, I recommend the RYA bill of sale.
