Need some guid lines

Hello good people of the forums. My name is Maurice and i just joined this wonderfull place, but not without a reason.

I am quite new to the 'bigger' rib boats so i need some advice. A year and a half ago i bought myself a 380 rib that came with a 50 hp longshaft. I used it for some trips although it was far from perfect. I now own a shortshaft 50hp engine and will be swapping them soon.

And this is the point you guys come in, im 20-ish years old and don't have enough experience yet in getting the max out of my engine and boat. I know there are quite a lot of factors to take into consideration but what kind of speeds should i be aiming for? And do you guys have any advice on things to add while i'm at it?

If anything is unclear just ask, english isn't my mother tongue. Thanks in advance!
