Need some info on a RIB

A friend of mine has been in the market for a RIB for a while and he's found one that ticks all the boxes. He's emailed me to ask if I know anything about it (of which i dont) but maybe someone on here knows?

It's been on eBay for a bit, its a 7.2m Ballistic with a Yamaha 150HPDI hanging of the back, it has blue tubes and sits on a Beckton trailer, I'm pretty sure ive seen it on here.

Answers on a postcard...

Sounds like a previous generation boat ie prior to JBT supplying them.

7.2m a strange length
Blue unusual tube colour
150hp HPDI would put it late 1990s?

The boat was built in 2002 and rigged with the Yamaha.

I see there are some Ballistic "issues" on the boards at the minute.

As I say its for a pal and its the other end of the country from me, he was just curious as to whether I knew anything about that particular boat.

Pleased with mine, put him in touch with me - I've an almost identical boat; same age, same length.

7.2 was a size JBT didn't adopt but there are a few about from this era. They are AET boats I believe (mine is).

If the tubes are as good as he says they are (I've seen the ad) then it's a good buy.

Cheers fella.

He's sent me some photos and the ad for it. It looks a lot of boat for the moolah.

Pm'd you.

I'd buy another.

The reputation for slamming is unjustified. That's coming from someone who's done 500 miles in one in the past 3 months.
