New Avon 560
just so all can see, will post more pics when i get the components, will have all the usual outhill stuff, bench for the girlies, 2 x jockeys etc,
having a A frame made currently, with some Led Nav lights.
chose the Optimax 115 as it was reasonably light, looked great under the current colour scheme,Hopefully economical on the cruise and can be very fast if need be, reckon it will be a great wavejumping beast!! Also need to keep up with Nos!!!

Uh yer, why would a 100 yam go better than a 115 opti, not had an opti myself but looks like the perfect choice of set up to me, had plenty of yams up to a 90 and i rate them highly for there response and torque, but the opti should be a tad more responsive with bags of power.
Yes i think Yamaha did a 100 which i think was a v4.

Matt - which Outhill console are you going for? I presume you're going to have the fuel tank in the console?

going for a cc14 low screen with 100 litre fueltank, not sure how it bolts down though, 2 single jockeys and a small bench,
question,
i have a centre thottle not side mount, Can i run the cables down the back of the fuel tank then?? havent got the consol yet, otherwise i will have to swap it for a side mounted throttle,
NOS,
Would hope to be there, have to do a far bit of biulding first but will take a few days off, and also a PDI on the engine, what do they actually do??

I don't know-I've never bought a new engine. Doubt it's more than a gear oil change, making sure the autolube's working and running it up at certain RPM to make sure it's usable... I suspect it's a warranty condition though.

Not a great deal - it may be shipped crated and part assembled (eg the prop might not be fitted), so they will uncrate it, fit any parts shipped separately, either fill with oil or check oil levels, check bolts are tight, check any split pins etc are fitted, check any controls fitted are operational, probably check that it starts and runs and that's about it. Shouldn't be more than a couple of hours work, if that.
Cheers
Chris

On the optimax they prime the oil system by pluging in the comp and running the pump loads of little clicks till its primed 200 on mine i think. They also check the little tank under the cowl to make sure its full by removing the lid to vent.
Primed the fuel line, removed the outlet side of the the bulb to let the air out for first prime
Looked over the engine pipes cables connections etc as i had fitted it
Throttle gear cables linkage movement
topped up the gearbox oil
checked the prop
started it
ran in gear forward and reverse for couple secs at tickover
made me coffee
Stamped my book
About 2 hours

Nice looking fittings Matt. Is that bench seat the one with the reversible back rest so that it can be rigged either forward or aft facing?
Keep the piccies coming
