I had a 6.3m ocean pro with a 115hp suzuki on the back. It was good for 30knots and her sea keeping was excellent. She only slammed when I made her and the ride was also very dry.

Build quality wise, she was built like a brick whatsits name. A bit rough around the edges but tough as old boots.

we also have a 6.3m ocean pro, with a 140hp suzuki, and achieve 40 knots max, irde is excellent, loves the rough stuff, exceptionally dry ride, hull grips very well, and lands softly! its a true rib, not being the best on finnish to eg console etc, but built to take some hammering! highly recommended!!!

quality is fine though, excellent in fact, and just because its functional and sturdy doesnt mean its always the prettiest finnish, however saying that i think its a dam good looking boat!

i would have thought with a 150hp on the 6.5m you should get not far short of 40 knots, and on the 7 metre, maybe 35 knots, thats a guess though!

Hi Mike,

Bought a 7.0 mtr Humber Ocean Pro last season. Didn't get much time to use it due to work but maiden voyage on North Sea in August. I've got a Suzuki 140hp on the back. Not a big engine but light and runs flat on the plane. Good for 40Kt. I'm still a bit inexperienced to give an 'expert' opinion but set out on a millpond and came back in 2mtr + swell with heavy wind against, white crests and the odd breaking wave. Handled the sea conditions well and gave a nice soft landing. Heavy build and always felt safe. Don't know if this helps but we enjoyed it!

Cheers

Jeff
