New folder on ribnet ?

A suggestion, howabout adding a new folder/category to ribnet ? called "Destinations" which could be populated by posts about various destinations, what to look out for, dangers, best anchor spots, best time to visit, what to do there, any tide or tidal issues etc etc. Those who visit various spots frequently over the years gain insights and experience that others may like to share and find useful if considerinfg visiting, things like for example...

Studland Beach and Old Harry
- avoid ledge off old harry rocks
- avoid rock formation near south beach in studland bay
- there are 3 eating places on the beach in studland bay and one pub accessable from south beach at studland bay which also has visitor buoys in the bay, (red buoys)

Chapmans Pool
- great snorkeling
- secluded and quiet
- no jet skis
- avoid times when overfalls are running high
- if lulworth firing ranges are off limits due to firing you can still visit chapmans pool which is just outside of exclusion zone, however when approaching near the head call the 'lulworth ranges safety boat' on channel 8 or 16 to advise them where you are heading or they will race to intercept you.
- anchoring is good but avoid reef/rocks and be aware some large boulder/rocks in various places.
- no mobile phone reception

etc etc

what do you think

Great idea. If adopted would also suggest that’s done on a area base.

Sounds great. But it needs sub folders for regions.

New folder on ribnet ?

I’ll make sure it gets discussed but would it be reinforcing our UK bias? Would anyone bother to search it? Would each thread become a slanging match between people who don’t agree on the best place for a pint? How would they be best organised,, eg. If you just list by names that may not help someone looking for somewhere near X.? Does anyone even use the “sub forum” structure anymore - or do we all just use new posts?

Apparently not - or this thread (or folder" ) would have been started in "Site Help & Announcements.

I mostly use the "new posts" feature. It's much easier when using the app.

I see what poly is saying but at the moment it works if you just ask more often than not a local responds or someone with plenty of expeariance of the site but it would be nice if that info was easy to source and kept on file.
