just purchased my first rib , I have had a few boats before and really fed up with the faff of bigger boats and launching , so decided to buy a rib....
ive got a 5.5 humber 2012 with a mercury 60 hp 4 stroke coming in a couple of weeks .
I need to change the nasty rear seats for a rear bench for my wife and daughter .
now the questions , im assuming as its a rib I dont need any safety certs ?
do people name ribs like bigger boats ?
do I register it for a mmsi ?
thats it for now I think. but im sure more will be incoming soon

If you are going MMSI then you will need a callsign to register against, also call the boat something. Seating, I think is your choice, just make sure its secured.
I am sure others will offer better advise
