New look Boatlaunch web site

The new version of Boatlaunch is now available for preview at
http://staging.boatlaunch.co.uk or follow the link at the top of the existing web site.
Three big changes:
1. New easier to use maps
2. No more pop-ups
3. You can make your own updates directly onto the site and add new data, so there is no excuse for it being out of date anymore.

Please go ahead and let me know what you think. Full launch is due soon.

Please can you have a way to make the map bigger. A small, medium, large option should cater for most - its hard to see whats going on in that little window.

It seems a bit buggy - for instance when I zoom in slipways disapear and i have to zoom out again to get them back.

Like the new look very good use of the wiki editing system, agree the map could do with being a bigger size.

I see you can upload a picture does that erase the existing one or do you then have 2 or more images?
Perhaps high/low tide pictures could be done

much better map size - thankyou

Another suggestion

is there anyway of the google map displaying lon/lat of the cursor.

this would be usefull not only for noting down locations but also when adding points of interest as you are asked for the lon/lat when you click to create a new point of interest.

Lat long is shown on all the data points (to 6 decimal places which is a bit over the top, I think that relates to approx 10cm) but its not shown on the map. Google may change that in the future.
French maps are very poor at present. I am hoping that Google will improve them, if not we have other suppliers but it costs money
However we will do France and the rest of Europe one way or another.
