New look for www.boatlaunch.co.uk
We have made some major changes to how the boatlaunch web site works. The slipway information now pops up in its own window. Should make it easier to use and read. As with any new design there may be a few bugs and I would appreciate feed-back from the Rib.net users. If you spot any howlers please send an email to geoff@boatlaunch.co.uk.
Many thanks.

Or maybe even WAP, just a simple thing to give brief info on slips in the area. Could be useful for some people.

Excellent work Geoff, very impressive. I'm surprised how many pictures you've got of slipways - even my local Thames slipway which is a little off the beaten track to say the least!

(river seriously in flood)
I highly recommend this one for SIB launching!

PDA is on the cards and I will look into WAP. The question is would you be prepared to pay for the service?
I am looking at producing a datafile suitable for Navigator software by Memory Map. See www.memory-map.co.uk to download 10 day free trial software. Its a great piece of kit that allows you do do all your passage planning on the PC on digital charts, and then upload the waypoints and routes onto your GPS.
I would be interested in comments on this or any other navigation software that people have used.

Hey Richard, is that your humble abode across the river from the slip in the picture?

Darn right!
You might not need to leave your Scorpion outside though - lots of the des-res's on the Thames have a boathouse. Mind you, you'd never be able to more than tick-over with the 4 knott speed limit

Hi Geoff
Ohhh, it looks good. I like it.
Where did you get the photo of Portmahomack, I don't think it was one I sent you?

Geoff
I notice you are missing pictures for four of my local slipways on the River Itchen: Belvidere, old mill, priory and wood mill? Not sure where you mean for woodmill though (the univeristy slip perhaps?). Anyway do you have pictures for these and haven't got round to posting them yet, or do you need some? If it's the latter I will gladly oblige, and pop down-town digicam in hand!
Regards
Jiz
PS. Didn't there used to be maps aswell?

Just had a more in depth look and noticed you are missing quite a few from Soton/hamble areas. Same applies as above, just let me know if I can help.
