Hi to everyone, I've just come across this forum recently and thought I would introduce myself to you all!

My name is Matt, im 31 and have owned my 6.7m Crompton for the last 8 years. It has been out of action for the last 2 years as the oil pump failed on my Ficht 150 and didnt bother to tell me! 2 years previous to that the original motor, an Evinrude intruder 150 fell of the back at 45 knots! So I've just bought a '99 Mariner 200 carb model and am rigging it at the moment so fingers crossed will be back in the water very soon!

I mostly use the boat for cruising round the channel islands, favourite spots include Dixcart Bay in Sark and the Minquiers. I'm always interested in hooking up with other ribsters for little trips so know you can get me on here if you want to meet up!

Welding and fabrication has been my trade since left skool so if I can offer any advice or assistance with your trailers and stainless work etc please dont hesitate!

Looking forward to being an active member of this interesting and informative site,

Matt

Dont worry about this one Matt. He is not typical of the people on this site.
Normally we are loving and carring lot..... Incidently tips on how to weld stainless and aluminium would be appreciated.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! The engine rigging's not going to well, fitted a new power trim motor today (£90 from API Marine in USA). Hit the trim button and nothing happened except the engine fuse blew. After replacing the trim relays and wiring harness and testing the switches I'm at a loss. Any ideas would be most welcome!
