just looked at gps, 70.9 stat miles, 61.59nm...needles to swinge, at your normal cruising speed-no being silly say 30Knts, medium load, nice conditions, say 2-3

You know, an average day out with family!

Jon its less than that,I will get the figures hang on aprox speed 30knt yes half load. Its less than what your quoting,as we would have to be flat out to burn anything like that.

It's obviously gonna be a 2 hour ish run for you, 30Knt's-61nm,
how much does the kad 300 burn at say 2/3 throttle, that'd be roughly right,

My estimate is based on 20 galls/hour for roughly 1hour 10/15

60mph ish

Anyway, I suspect not as much more than you as you might have thought, higher consumption but less time on the move (remember I wont be going at all if it's blowing a hooly)

I recon we will be around 18 gals max, maybe a touch less.I need to speak to volvo and get some as near as they can figures, its electronic so its more fuel efficent than a Manual injection engine. And the drive is mega efficient so i need to equate all these factors.

I will know for next weekend.I did know but have forgotton as i slept since then.Your boat is a lighter boat as its smaller all ways round.Exept in the fuel burn stakes. And engine room.

wot's your all up weight gonna be? at a geuss I would expect your motor to burn around 13-14 imp galls/hour at WOT, as you say the EDC may make it better at part throttle (cruising), but with most, "WOT" consumption is much the same!

so your saying a cruising consumption of around 9 GPH (at 30 Knts)

Yes hopefully.We will see
Half load 3.9 ton 2hr x 9gall an hour two thirds throttle = 18gals full throttle 28galls aprox 1.35ish.

I have to say I will try and check the figures as this is off the hip,I will clarify next wk.
