We are really pleased for you and the pictures look great. We have been delayed picking ours up - it was supposed to be today, it may now be WEdnesday or Thursday. We have our fingers crossed because we want it in Anglesey this weekend, for Easter.

I've just showed your pictures to my husband and he remembers seeing your hull waiting for the tubes to go on at Eurocraft and he also remembers unloading your upholstery out of Mike's vehicle (Mike made your hull).

We also have a friend who is ready to launch his 7metre Osprey with 250 Etec Evenrude, on Thursday . We will be launching our 5.8 metre Osprey with 150 optimax hopefully together in North Wales, Anglesey.

We have been told the performance between the two will be fairly similar. Roger was most interested in what petrov was saying about his and the exceleration - roll on Thursday!!

Osprey fan club then!

I have a 6m Viper with a 150 optimax and make 46knts at 5200rpm with a 21" s/steel prop. Acceleration is good enough to pull two skiers with 6 people in the boat and sea keeping unbeleivable for length.

Hey Rach,

What a small world. Tell Mike we will take good care of our rib. It's a pity there are no pictures from the making off our hull. That would have been great.

Your friend will not be disappointed about that Etec. It has lots of power and a good top speed. We were able to push it at 52 KN. That was with 220 l of fuel and 2 adults. As Mike will know, our rib is rather heavy. We do not know the exact weight yet but due to the upholstery, the seating, ... it will be around 1500 kg without fuel.

Thanks for your information!

It was almost like summer this weekend and the boat came out of the garage for the first time this year, I got some fresh fuel pumping around in the outboard and it did not take long to get her started luvly jubly a nice gental cruise down the river for a pre season sea check, all was well and can not wait to get out on the deep blue sea .

Thanks for the posts.

We spend all our leisure time in Anglesey, North Wales so that is where the boat will be going early Thursday morning. Can't wait. We hope we can launch Thursday afternoon!

It would be good to meet up. We are there every weekend and throughout the summer so let us know if you are around.

We have taken pictures from the start of the hull in the mould, out of the mould and after it had been tubed and it has been very exciting to watch all the stages.

We will let you know how we get on over the next few days.

Regards
