Is that a Delta?
Do you know whether it'll be based out of Portishead?

The same way that fuel tanks on military helicopters work. Nikster will know more I think he used to be ground crew for them. Inside is a very thick layer of rubber that allows a small calibre round through the rubber then closes the gap back up again. The rubber is thick enough not to leak fuel afterwards.
Thought MST were a Liverpool based rib manufacturer rather than Delta in Manchester, although presumably competing in similar markets.

exactly as pete says - thick layer then membrane that reseals via a type of capillery action = not a chemist so dont know right terms and ph numbers - but a bit of a waste of time to be honest as they should have just gone for the foam collar instead as the main reason for needing to re-seal is after ramming greenpeace boats to stop them penetrating security zones around installations etc.
However if the Avon force or whoever it is that is using it is anything like Dorset then they will forever end up in the workshop or tied up in H&S and not able to use it........... Dorset had so many problems they ended leasing an Atlantic 85 from the RNLI - all the rest have been sold off!!! did anyone on here tender for the ex fleet?

I'd consider joining the Fuzz myself to be paid to blat around in that all day.
I'm sure they'd be very keen to employ a 40 something bin collector from Penryn.
