New Rib

Hi all,
Hav'nt been about for a while as i sold my RIB & brought a yacht (the wife made me do it, as she wanted something with a toilet/galley & bunks with no slaming), i have spent all summer enjoying the delights of sailing with the family but........winter is coming & ill be taking the yacht out for storage as the sailing season is over, now i must have a rib again! im open to advise, im looking for something new or nearly new between 5>6m with approx 130>175hp i will be using it for pleasure & a bit of diving. I was going to order a new Ribcraft 5.85 at the Southhampton show but am now boycotting them as ive heard that one of their key staff members likes to gossip about other peoples business's.....very unprofessional & petty......dissapointed i must say, but i have morals so will now go with another manifacture possabley Osprey or Solent, it would be great to hear from anyone that might have some constructive advise or indeed a boat they would like to sell .

Mike,
Glad to hear that sense has prevailed. Unfortunately I do not have an XS to sell you (or a mate) Might I suggest that of the two you have mentioned go for the Solent if you want a higher top speed, go for the Osprey if you value sea keeping
Good luck

Vipermax 5.8 / Optimax 150 is a nice balanced boat with good performance asnd decent seakeeping

Been there. I pointed out that our RIB has two heads... the port side, and the starboard side...
