The 850 arrived for start of fitting out today, posted on my FB pages here Facebook
and a single one on forum. The chines on this 850 hull look like it will perform well and it is very well built. Now for all the electronics, teak deck, consul, engine etc etc.

Think I finally ordered it in November after a build start October. Great build and kept to time scales. The only delay was the container ship waiting a berth in Cape Town.
Teak guy in factory today to finalise measurements and Boat Covers also instructed today.
Consul has been laid out in advance ready to fit. Measured floor spacing for seating set up today and liferaft fitting location.
Only a few small changes as you would expect. I will post images as we get them but planning sea trials in a week now!!!
I have used sea-safe on Isle of Wight for liferaft and they have been great. Good service deserves mention

Looks very impressive. I should imagine you'll have a smile like a kid in a candy shop the first time you take it out!

Beautiful Boat! Love the anchor locker/step setup. My cruising buddy has a Gemini Waverider 730 with an E-Tec 225 & it is a great boat, really comfortable ride. Look forward to pictures of the engine being fitted & performance figures, very very Jealous!

Cheers Robbie - the hulls appear to have a great reputation from what everyone has said.
Just after last upload I was sent some more images from today with engine loaded, teak deck down, some internal units, Aframe with additions of large detachable flag staffs, trin lens beneath all round white and other LED Navs.

So far so good, everything as promised and up to a very high standard. Keel Guard I hope I never need, but standard on the Gemini 850 hull and certainly has some strength. Hope by end of next week to have completeed sea trials, prop changes and electronics ready for work then. Pics etc will follow

RIB almost ready, but extras and electronics and fuel feed took longer than we thought.
Power steering unit is awesome and can work as hydraulic as well.
Fuel seperation and stop switches secured and working yesterday. All instruments on finals with experts from Raymarine finalising today. Raymarine did a great job and travelled from Portsmouth to Devon just to help fully load links from E95 and I70 and AIS- nice to see their help as a new product and linking was always going to take time and then registering AIS and all systems on line
New Covers being delivered Monday and includes a new deck top to secure clients bags in the dry if needed. Final prop testing still to be done but looks like down to two at present-(things can change!!)
More images later I hope
I have added the Cobra wi fi link despite poor write ups by Nos, as whilst everything else was being wired I have added this and it leave a waterproof cap visible for me to connect if I want
The consul shows the layout just before lifted into place. The other two are seperate fuel stop valves for each tank so can work in line or with one or other switched off

Last build images
Shows inside consul the power steering unit, the rear seat set up and then the boat set up. The deck wash out holes are massive so if we ever fill her then these tubes should empty the decks fast

Cos it's a Ribeye
Looks great Ian. I prefer it to the shape of the 785.

You see this is where others get hung up. The hull is a Gemini 850 waverider that has been manufactured with the wash well and added to Ribeye fleet as a Ribeye 850S ( I have the charter version). The hull layup is the Gemini system and strength. The tubes are thicker grade material, the metal work is stronger and thicker grade. The boat is manufactured for Ribeye in SA and then shipped to UK for their final fit out of electronics, seating, sonsul, and engine. After this perhaps I need them to explain their relationship with Gemini. Hope that helps
