New RIB developments
RIB's There are so many manufactures, so many models. How can you know what you need?
Its not rocket science but each manufacture would have you think so.
What are you not getting on a RIB you would like to have and also what stuff do you never use that is on the RIB?
We are poised to create what could best be described as RIB's for Dummies...!!!! from rollup to 50ft.
All comments are welcome, All constructive critisisum is very welcome....
The tender is the weakest link between the yacht and the shore.... Lets get it right first time round

Or some bowrider style consoles (walk though middle) with a fibreglass detatchable forward cuddy/cabin with sleeping facilities that didn't look DIY

Did you see the new Zodiac yet - much better in the flesh than magazine reviews - but looked a little bit like a Vauxhaull to me.
Think 7 - 7.5m is th smallest you'll get unless someone comes up with a decent detachable bow cabin.

I'd like to see more cabin RIBs @7-8M, with less Blue piped white upholstery.
But most of all I'd like to see RIBs priced like similar sized hard boats.
Seriously, how many times has somebody come up with this notion?
Sorry iburry67, I'm not saying it won't work, it's just not a new concept.
In my opinion, different peoples use of a RIB is so varied, a one desgn concept is too much of a compromise to keep enough people happy.
I'll be really interested to see how you do, and pleased to be proved wrong.
Perhaps you sould arrange to get a few of us down to your factory, present the concept properly and get some feedback.
Nasher

Should have gone to RIBEX Andy.
Can't remember who made it, but the Bowrider Rib was rather nice I thought.

Ah - more yellow , with yellow piped upholstery then. Whats wrong with blue piped cushions
Just get an Arctic 35 cabin - job done.

I'll tell you what Nasher. If I'd have gone for the 7.2 Shakepeare which I nearly did before placing the order for the Osprey, I'd have moulded two bowrider console LH/RH and had a roller door joining the two halfs together and creating a weather protector to boot. Then I'd have made a bow cover that came up to the bottom of the screen, creating a tent like feature to allow camping or dry storage.
