New RIB-opinions

Hello,
We're designing a new RIB: 6,3m long, 2,25m wide, max engine power 150HP.
We'd like to know your opinion on the hull and tubes shape.
Regards,
H-14

short transom....

Can you raise the transom (two slots around outboard) so water does not come in the boat particularly when reversing etc.?!

I have seen this on new humbers.

Interesting, a bit of a chimera perhaps.

Tapered tubes with bow height coming from the grp section, my first thought is that the small diameter might not keep spray out.

Low transom, great for shedding water at speed but less good for use at rest.

I would be happy with 150HP on a 6.3m, but many would want more power.

How deep is the V?

It looks a bit like a Chasecraft with tapered tubes.

@Nos4r2: it'll be L shaft-it's the most popular,
@Vandad: the lowest part of the transom is ~20cm above water line and cockipit is self-draining-what do you think about it?

"GRP section", I think he means the bow rise is created from the fibreglass(hull), not from the tubes, as they are tapered.
