New round Britain record in a RIB!
Two blokes from Norfolk have broken the round Britain and Ireland record in a (7m if I recall) Avon cabin RIB. They did the 1970 nautical miles in 108 hours, 11 minutes - thats 18 hours off the previous time apparently.
They're planing to do it again later in the year in a boat they are currently building; a carbon firbe wave piercing rib fitted with a gas turbine helicopter engine. Nice!
