New (to me) RIB

900 mile round trip to Truro and I now own this!
Big shout out to Tyrone Snell Trailers, who pulled out all the stops when I showed up at 1.30 in the afternoon
with the rib on the trailer that came with it, asking them to replace the bearings!
There were no seals on the backs of the existing ones, and they had all but disntegrated.
They also found time to fit a triple lock coupler, a new jockey wheel, a new mudguard, a new winch,
two new wheels, a new roller wheel...all in 2 hours!!! They had a workshop full of jobs but helped me out
The rib is a Gemini Waverider 550 - think its a 2001 from the serial number.
Hull is in amazing condition, like new, tubes need a good clean, a few other cosmetic bits and pieces to do.
The engine is an Evinrude V6 VRO 150, which is a bit on the beasty side!
Over rated for the transom by 10hp but under the weight allowance (just).
I think it will have to come off and be sold if anyone is interested.
The seat cushions etc could do with recovering.
Anyone got a recommendation for someone/company to do this?

The other things on my to do list are
New Battery
2 new locker doors
new Aerial
replace the missing perspex screen from the console (any suggestions for this anyone?)
a bit of rewiring
add an all round white light to the A frame
replace the switch panel
fit my chartplotter

pretty chuffed with it though - despite the light blue tubes !

Nope, don't recognise that one. Perhaps it lived under a full cover.

'Super Hero Tyrone' retired and sold the business a couple of years ago. Good to hear that those that took it on are keeping up the good work.
