New (to me) Toy to play with
Well it is our 30th Wedding Anniversary today so I thought we needed a little pressie. Perhaps to find Pearls in, So I managed to pick this up. She is 4.5 m long so quite a dit more capable than my 3.4 m Rib. Lets hope I can get out in here before the snow sets in
My main speed boat is named Add2Cart
So I have named this new one ClickNCollect
Also because it was a 450 mile round trip to pick her up.

That looks like it will be a fun pocket rocket. Being willing to trail a boat does open out the opportunities.

As one of those 3.45 owners I'm jealous. Nice boat.

Anyone care to venture what sort of speed it should do with the 60 hp on the back, I am hoping for 30 knots + ?

I've no idea but really look forward to hearing how it goes... pics good too.
Your frontage reminds me of 15+yrs ago when I was into old Land Rovers. It was traditional for forum members to have your own, one supposedly for the Mrs, one awaiting restoration, one part restored under a tarp and one little more than a skeleton for spares. Anyone who could actually see out of the front window past the LRs wasn't really trying.

I have always thought of front gardens of a waste of space in their traditional use. I am also quite lucky in that I have a large back garden and also space at my mums. Thing is I cant easily get a boat round the back which here indoors thinks is a good thing

It is true to say that I really didn't 'need' (I hate the word need) another boat. But this one fitted the bill so closely for single person use but reasonable size in good nick for £3K so I couldn't resist. Who could ????

Don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Our 5m rib with 60 hp Mariner will give us 32 knots one or two up. It’s propped for towing so would probably be good for another couple of knots if we upped the prop.
Enjoy your new toy, looks like a good buy.

My SR4 with 50hp Mariner would do over 36 knots. Yours being slightly longer with a bigger engine I'd say you could expect somewhere in the same region [emoji106]

Tried her out today and quite pleased. Got 33 Knots 2 up and only had full throttle for a few seconds and did not mess with the trim to see if I could get more.
I think I will get 35Knots one up if I am lucky. That is plenty fast enough for me
No sign of chine walking

Got the boat home and went to wash out the engine and it was running like a pig and spitting fuel out of what I found was the top carb. I thought that was odd as it had run flat out so well. I have now removed the top carb and stripped it down to find that the float has a small hole and is full of petrol. Now that I am sure would have been the problem

Managed to buy 2 complete replacement carbs from ebay for £100. Took the float out of one of them and put it in my carb, Put it all together and fired her up and it is now running very well indeed
. Very pleased

Tested it the other day at 32 knots and no sign of chine walking. I di have my wife on the console seat at the front so will take care when I test it one up. 60 hp is the max it is/was plated for so it is not over the limit
