New to Rib

Hi everyone

Please advise on a 2-4 man rib inflatable

As we also intend to use it on rivers it shouldn’t be too wide. Not sure if it is best to have row locks on it or use it with paddles as canoes and kayaks?

We also intend to use it at sea - not too far out

If we were younger we would have gone for a kayaks but it is primarily safety and an urge to stay dry that has brought us to ribs

Silly question but can one put a sail on a dinghy?

Many thanks

Hi and welcome, have you thought about using it with an outboard motor?

Not that silly as it happens.

Inflatable boats, sibs, are generally horrible things to row any distance, but if that is going to be your primary means of propulsion perhaps consider one of the K-boat styles.
