New toy

So after a few near misses we’ve got ourselves a 6m XS with a 150hp optimax and managed to get a few hours today getting acquainted with it.

First impression is it jumps up onto the plane in no time and has a decent turn of speed. Managed 40 knots at 5500rpm with 3 adults and around 140litres of fuel onboard, does this sound about right? Think it has a lazer 2 stainless prop 19P.
Played around with smartcraft gauges and saw a best of 0.8l/nm at around 4800rpm around 35knots?

Looking forward to my next outing and learning a bit more about the new toy.

What sort of speed are you getting? What speed do you cruise at for best economy?

I am not sure! It depends on sea conditions and passengers.
When I have friends about I tend to drive slower but love going out alone and letting the engine have a blast.
I suppose I look at the Rev counter more than speed over water...best comfort and fuel economy is around 3600.

Is she black or dark blue?
Hard to tell from photo!

She’s dark blue, photo wasn’t the best. I doubt I’ll get a chance to run wot to often off our coast, was just curious if I was in the right ball park.
Lough neagh was flat calm yesterday so took advantage.
If I can cruise along at a decent pace I’ll be happy.

It’s hardly ever flat calm here, but when it is, I drop all plans and get out on the water.
Looks a nice boat....more pics when you are able?
