New tubes! Can't believe I'm going by to do it.

Well it looks like I'm going to get some new tubes for my 7m. I started talking with Wing/Henshaws again and I think I'm going to do it. I looked into the domestic USA hypalon tube people and that would be a better option if I was east coast USA.

Henshaws has the pattern for my boat so that makes life easier. I don't have to ship off my old tubes.

unfortunately the brexit chaos didn't help me so much. The dollar to pound exchange rate is good but they tell me their supply costs for fabric have gone up because that comes from France and so the exchange rate that way hurts.

So any suggestions on little details on my new tubes? Any features or tips? They already adjusted the seams and such that I had asked about. The have a non slip top for the tubes. Anything else?

I think I need to figure out where some console wings can attach but maybe I can use the existing rings

Jason

Overpressure valves and Orca 866 material in Neptune Gray.

Ask if they do internal seam tape or mastic.

I would advise against the nonskid material on top, they use a dissimilar material which can create chemical incompatibilities as the product ages.

Henshaws have a laser cutter for name patches. They can do a REALLY nice job of brand names, boat names, etc. You get a flat patch with multiple colour inserts, if you want it. What are you doing re a fairlead?

My boat has a big flap the covers the very front if the tubes so I'm not sure they can do anything for me for a fairlead. Maybe they can send me a chunk I can glue on here.
