Ben, I have just launched a new site and after some discussions we felt the slow load of the first page puts people off with a "loading" sign, I would be tempted with opening into screen "about us" if possible or add to front loaded screen. A lot depends on what systems are used I am told, I am no expert just regulary trying to improve my services and web screens.
Can page buttons be made clearer?
I like the rest and it is clear what you offer if this helps

I'd support what C2 says... I don't like waiting for sites to "load" especially if then it has no information on display. I'm on a reasonable but not superfast broadband connection here, using an OK computer (but not amazing) with firefox (i.e. same as your average client) and it took 4s from clicking the link to the page loading. You'll not see that delay unless you force a refresh (as I think the page is cached) - but casual browsers may wander away if its their first click.
Agree also about the page links, very small, poor contrast and they are animated - but they don't work smoothly on my machine (feels like they need some WD40!).
Only other comment is - the photography page should have a portfolio... is odd to promote a photographer with only one picture which presumably she didn't take!

Excellent feedback allready guys!!!!! Keep it comming . The picture of our photographer was taken by our staff as she had to be in it. There will be a change of picture comming soon. There is also a chance to look at the size of the font at the top. I think the problem with the loading screen is there as there is so much detail from adobe flash (something like that) He assures me its the fastest he can get it to load. So now begs the question what do we put instead while it is loading. I think the about us page could do with being the first thing you see.
Once again, I knew I could count on RIBnet to iron out any small details. In all though I am happy with the first launch and the way it has come together. No major negative feedbacks, so up

Who also doesn't appear to be wearing a PFD....... Considering the "We realise that on the water safety is paramount" comment on the "about us" page...... I assume the gallery is all hers?
Also on the "about us" page under the twin 40s, one possible linguistic twist - the sentence "each rib has been recognised to advanced level" doesn't quite sound right for what you are trying to sell. I think I know what you mean, but an average punter might not. Maybe worth quoting the standard to which it's been signed off to. - e.g. I can recognise an SR5.4 reliably at 200 yds! (if you see what I mean?)
Other than that, good site, good graphics, easy to navigate.
