Newbie Advice

Hello,

I’m a newbie to the world of owning a boat. It’s been some years but I’m looking to get back out on the water; many fond memories of getting out on the water with my dad.

I have been offered a pro wave and 2.5 go four stroke engine (photo below) for just under £700.

I wondered if this was a good starter boat and overall an alright price? https://ibb.co/d4jzdpz

Hi Cameron and welcome to the forum.
Without knowing what you want to do with or use your SIB for, it's very difficult for anyone to advise what is or isn't a good for you SIB.

Although I think many people would advise that the relatively unknown brand outboard is not a great beginner's investment regardless of use. You may get many hours of use out of it, but when it breaks down finding an engineer to work on it will be hard and getting parts even harder.

Just followed Hidea parts UK link and it took me to Aliexpress website!

Doesn't really inspire confidence.

I’ve not heard of pro-wave either but I’m not a sibber sounds and looks a bit like some better known brands which might be an issue……
