and surely in most applications the 'bilge' where this pump would be located on a RIB is aft, low, covered in cables, engines and numerous other items!!!

it would only work if it was situated in the middle of the deck where sun light can get to it.....

It does say that the solar panel can be mounted away from the pump, I can think of a few boats in the local vicinity that could use this! Particularly the racing keelboats in Chichester Harbour.
