Hi there
Anyone out there using a Ninja Tracker ( Ninja Tracking Systems | GPS Tracking | GPS Tracker ), I'd be interested in hearing your views.
Thanks

No experince of it and, in fact, never heard of it.
Thought about the Garmin equivalent?

Do you need to supply a SIM card for the Garmin or does it come supplied. If supplied is there some subscription to maintain updates?
Seems to be trashed on Amazon but other sites not so.
Are they any good?

Just found this....
"The GTU 10 will sell in the UK for £179.99 from February and includes one year subscription to Garmin's Standard Tracking service, which costs £45 a year thereafter"
Sounds good!

Mine does what Garmin says it should. The iPhone app is slick and response from the GTU10 back to the app or pc has been 100%.
Geofencing is easy to define and response to exiting the fence is quick.
There's no additional sim but, as you say, there's an annual fee. Worth it in my book.

For the kind of costs mentioned above - it's a no-brainer.

Having had Garmin products over the years they have all worked well. Ninja is an unknown so I think the Garmin is now the one I'll get.
Cheers guys.

What is everyone planning to use when the GTU10 is no longer supported? Did anyone use the Ninja Tracker, or found anything as good and slick as the GTU10?

Is there no way to swap the SIM card & use a different website for tracking?

Hmm, it looks a sealed unit. No SIM that's extractable. It's an app based user friendly piece of kit, the support software and comma is being pulled. :-(
Pinpoint looks ok, but fixed 1m geofence rather than drawn and 48hrs battery once severed, less then Garmin.
Similar price.

A recent software update means the geofence can now be user set down to 0.25mile.
