Just thinking of buying one of these. 133k miles full service history. This is a pre rust 04 onwards. I need it as a work horse. Anyone any experience of these good or bad??Ta Nik
The navara model prior to the snappy chassis one was prone to spitting the no 4 conrod out the side of the engine the smashing the gearbox belhousing on the way totaly without warning otherwise quite a good workhorse
The D22 Navara (which I think is within the age range you mention) is a fantastic truck. I had one for a couple of years - brilliant thing. Towed stuff all over Europe with it. Only fault I had (which seems to be relatively common if towing a lot looking at various forums) is the chain in the transfer box can slacken resulting in a terrible noise whenever you accelerate. I replaced the box with a used one and it happened again. Other than that couldn't fault it. They still make them I believe for the Asian and Australian markets.
