If you are not video'ed out yet ..you can see my wee boat breaking through the ice in Loch Gair ..around 5 mins into the video. Brings back memories....

In my "hard-boat" days my boat was kept on a swinging mooring at Ardrishaig and then in Lochgair. I suspect the explanation for the ice in Lochgair is down to the amount of fresh water that runs into it from the hydro power station and the burn but very sheltered spot. The boat would get left on the mooring through the winter there.

Regarding the heated insoles......There isn't a "Made in Chernobyl" label on them is there?
