North West & Spring Bank Holiday Inspiration

I am after some inspiration for some spring bank holiday boating & camping. I normally camp in Beaumaris and launch at the life boat station but my camp site is full so back to the drawing board.

I want somewhere local ish, don't want to spend all weekend driving the car, want a slip with a camp site near and ideally a marina to leave the boat in all weekend.

I have looked on boat launch and also campsite search but can't find anything that's jumping out at me.

Anyone got any good recommendations for the long weekend?

Ty Calch, good launching, plenty of small campsites/caravans/cottages close by.

Have you had a look at Aberafon, half way between Menai and Nefyn. Nice site with sheltered valley pitches and exposed sea view ones as well, got its own slipway, but no moorings.

Reviews of Aberafon Camp Site , Caernarfon, Gwynedd Campsite

If you fancy going the other way there are a couple of sites on the shores of Ullswater with slipways. (Park Foot and Waterside House).

Chris will be able to recommend overnight boat storage for you, basic but quiet camping at Tyn Rhos Farm Caravan Park - Caernarfon, North Wales, if you ask Mrs Evans nicely she may let you park boat next to tent

There's camping at Is Helen? farm & at Phils farm further down the coast from Chris, I don't know what it's called but Phil is a really nice guy & very accommodating. Plenty of boat parking.

Anglesey Camping

We will be staying at froncaravanpark and launching from Chris's. Fron is opposite Caernarfon and about 30 mins but you can launch under the bridges which is about 15 mins by car.

+1 For this site, very clean and tidy, great friendly owners and only 200m from Chris's place. Just one note, there is only 1 toilet and no showers or washing facilities.
