What he means is .. find one that doesnt !

The hull is fast, as its quite narrow, and handles heavy going pretty well, you should be able to run on 1.5m wave height nearly at full bung without much load due to the length without noticing it, but I found that a big four stroke was too heavy for the transom design, and the 300HP plate, should be nearer 200. But the hull is very efficient , and a 2 stroke 225 would probably be a good match, but , they may have improved the transom supports in newer models, if they have, it would make a good budget 'leisure' hull, but IMO build quality could be easily improved, but then you get what you pay for. HTH

Hi, for what it's worth i've been out on an 850 with a Suzuki 250 fs on the back and it did seem a nice set up if not run to heavy.
Must it be a North Craft??

Thank you all for the feedback I am aware of the Verado problem, the boat I had in mind has an Opti 225 on the back and is for sale at FYM in Scotland, they do have a Northcraft with a Verado on the back which I suspect may be the boat in question.
The reason for and appeal of the boat I am looking at is price it seems an awful lot of boat for the money which in its self is a bit of a worry and I seem to recall someone on Ribnet suggesting that Northcraft do a very good impersonation of a submarine, which again is a bit of a worry because to me the hull looks a bit like an ironing board.
