Are you saying they make P22s in India now or that its got to India ?

The Indian Navy buys old RN Warships. Maybe this came off one of those.

Any idea of price spec and engine details ?

If its cheap and decently made could be a good seller.

Someone clearly thinks so if they are manufacturing them.

Riva are you going to be importing them as well as the Ballistics?

Having seen the quality of the stuff coming from India I wouldn't buy one if the engine was built there. I used to work for Royal Enfield's distributors a few years back and the workmanship and QC is awful.

(it was however significantly better than the engines coming out of Russia and China though)

I suppose the engine is the key to it. But for them that will push the price up if they buy in a European or US model.
Seems like Parker do good boats using East European prices for the boat and then buy the outboard/inboard in from established mainline engine manufacturers. There boats overall seem good but would be badly let down with an engine from an unestablished source.
Thats why we need specs.
Could be the tubes are PVC, the hull really thin plastic with some awful copy of a BL engine.
Thereagain it could be Hypalon tubes with bostik glue, inch thick GRP hull made to Loyds standards and a European/American engine onboard. We'll really need to see the full spec before passing judgement.
It certainly looks right though.

Thought you didn't like the servicing costs with diesel engines

But if they decided to buy bare boats and retro fit a modern marine diesel in it or even marinise a Transit engine they might be on to something.

I get the idea though that its the final drive that is the problem on diesel inboards and I'm not an expert on them other than the fact they look complicated and expensive.

I saw a new Chinese Rib that had been imported in to the uk
the hull looked semi V and the grp work was well finished and the tubes where as good as any main stream makers.I have not got a photo
as it was at a well known avon dealer even as a import it will be priced at the low end.
