Numbered wiring diagram Pacific 22

Good morning. I am rebuilding a Pacific 22 having re-decked over the Winter and newish tubes waiting to go on. The console and all electrics were taken off by another person and no labelling or helpful indicators used for reconnection. THe wiring is in remarkably good condition throughout and many are labelled with numbers. I have the wiring diagram posted years ago hear which it helpful but I am a novice at this end of things and I am struggling. I wonder of there is a labelled wiring diagram available somewhere? ALso, I wonder if anyone is familiar with the cabling/wiring that could send me any photos or simple diagrams. I am struggling with the ignition/starter motor system for a start. Once I have that sorted I should be able to figure out the rest. THere is a control box , a fuse box and a solenoid under the console and it seems to be positive earth. Thank you for any help.

From your info I'm assuming that it has a Mermaid Turbo 4.

I've attached the Mermaid wiring diagram and the Pac 22 wiring diagram albeit for a Yanmar engine. You may already have both of these but between the two, you may be able to draw something up.

My plan had been to start afresh with the wiring due to it being aflicted by about 25 years of military and post miltary bodgery but I'm being a bit vague because after removing the wiring I ended up changing the engine so I didn't need to re-wire the Mermaid.

Thank you very much indeed. Those two diagrams are very helpful. I wondered if anyone had photos of the electrics in situ with the covers off the control and trip fuse boxes. I'm getting quite close to figuring it out now especially with the help of those diagrams. Thanks again.

Unfortunately not - I do have some pictures of spaghetti during the disembowelling but it was such a mess in there.

The Mermaid was used in Ford Cargo lorries so there is a reasonable amount of info about them.

I don't think there is a tacho sender as such. I believe the tacho sensor wire goes to / from the alternator. On the back of the alternator, is there a 'W' connection. This should go to a 'W' connection on the back of the tacho.

I've just tried to unearth my old 'dashboard' but it is eluding me at the moment.

Berte, having just sent you a pm saying I no longer have a copy of the manual, I tried the "Way back when" website and was able to recover my old website, Polar Ribs.

Thankfully the link to the manual worked and Way Back When had taken a snapshot of the manual in 2007.

Ribnet hasn't got a library (why not?) so I have uploaded it to another Social Knowledge website were I am a moderator. So please help yourself and take a copy for safe keeping for future owners.

Pete

The old website: https://web.archive.org/web/20050407...ar-ribs.co.uk/

Old Spice on her way to Alderney in a F6 on the nose. Film recorded by one of the other ribs on the trip. It's 60 miles from Yarmouth to Alderney and we were down to 10 knots in those conditions, so 6 hours bashing into the waves.
