O M Watts, Dover St

The Burnham store has today found out it will NOT be saved. loads of stock incl electrical items are being transferred to Dover st
due to arrive this evening. Seems early tomorrow would be a good time to come.

Hi Pete
Question just flicked accross my mind (whilst wondering why this darn network won't route!) (& before you get there Tiger no it didn't take long)
Do you work opposite in Dover st?
Would love to get up and have a nose around again but there is only so many times you can tell the boss you are going to check the remote sites!!

Jelly,

I just happen to have been in London quite a bit this week either passing through or working. I have saved well over £1,000 this week. I popped in on my way back tonight and got a couple of Xmas presents for people. One thing that you either love or hate (but it isn't for me) is the steering wheels with a clock in the centre. They are made by nauticalia and are nicely fininshed, they were reduced from £146 to £36 (-75%). They were chatting to me and telling me about the other store, they told me that they were expecting a load of gear, it turned up just as I was leaving, about 4.30pm, I had to rush as I was on a parking meter and didn't want a large fine. I guessed that some of the stuff would have got on the shelves before they shut at 6pm but most will be layed out for tomorrow. If you do want to go, get there early, apparently there was fight in the shop earlier today over a pair of trousers. As I had nothing for my boat it has been excellent, I have got everything from WD 40, polish, to GPS, lifejackets e.t.c. Good luck anyway. "It's only a bargain if you need it"

Pete

Been there today. Spent over £1000 for both myself and a friend who is kitting up his RIB, biggest bargins were not for me but were a Garmin GPSMap/Sonar Model 168 for £250; GPS 12 for less than £200 and as Jelly said Icom 501+DSC unit for less than £300 total!

Also plenty of good books 1/2 price, auto-gas jackets 1/2 price...can't beleive i enjoyed shopping...must be feeling ill!

Bad news is just about everyting had sold by the time i left. I was gonna get a few other bits but when i went back they had gone.

Thanks for the tip Pete.

PS: Matt, no handheld radio's matie or i would have called you

Well done Daniel! It does seem that when there is 75% off it seems more like the price it should be!!

Sorry Jelly, if I had been there I would have picked up some bits for you.
