Oban to Islay

October and the perfect weather for the 150ml round trip to Islay and strangely saw only one other RIB (near Bono Rock north of Belnahua) and one charter boat on the entire trip after leaving Oban.

However, if you're thinking of winterising, don't. You'll miss some of the best ribbing opportunities of the year...

Enjoyed watching that, I have done Jura but not Islay so that's on my to do list. Not sure about the soundtrack..... "The giver and the taker" .... is that a Gay Gordan thing lol [emoji12]

p.s. I also have noticed in your film that most of the boats at the marina had aux engines fitted on them inc yourself which is what Xk59D was saying in another thread that most people on the West coast of Scotland use them.

i don't know about global warming but myself/LT and a few others have had some amazing days out in autumn/winter.

just for balance one of the worst days out i've ever had was also in winter, it wasn't so much the weather but the forth river a couple of days before christmas, $hit hole.

this video was a couple of weeks ago, LT leaving his boat at home and joining me for this one, Callum and Breezeblock also knocking about.

P.S, youtube have SEVERELY tightened the music rules so it is not easy finding something permissible now.

Cracking video, we passed you just after the Corryvreckan, you were tucked into a wee bay on Jura. We were taking our Interceptor 42 down, absolutely perfect weather

You did indeed. You were what we took to be the "charter boat".
Some useless information about that bay you probably already know......

During the summer that's a good spot to see golden eagles and the house up from the shore is where George Orwell wrote Nineteen Eighty Four.

There's a cracker in the spelling as well but everyone's been too polite to mention it.
