Ocean Access / Boats and Outboards
Has anybody had dealings with this company, they have quite a few outboards listed on Boats and outboards, but when you ring the contact number it transfers, rings twice and disconnects. I tried e-mailing and got a reply saying the engines where still available, but no contact telephone number.
The email told me to follow the link below to order the engines, again no telephone number or address on the site, just a paragraph saying they only comunicate via e-mail. Needless to say I havent ordered the engines, just wondered if anybody had used them ?

If you need any more proof, look at the Willard jet rib that's for sale in the rib section of the Ocean Access site.
Then go here:

I have e mailed about quite a few engines on Boats and Outboards and all that i have had replies from are the same and are from this company/person (craig Wildon).
I reported all these and another matter to B&O, they said they would look into it and there web site and by looking through there site they have done Jack sh*t about it.

The B&O guy posts on here sometimes, might be worth a PM asking him to comment on this thread?

I am sure that after a phone call and a detailed e mail, a PM wont cut it either.

I am pretty sure the guy gets the PM notification to his personal email and he has always been keen to get feedback and look into concerns, mind you it would help if I could remember his user name!

I used to work for them, I gave the MD several urgent messages that the fraud problem on the site was a problem, I even came up with a proposal for one potential solution which he chose to ignore, this was several years ago!!

I have had good and bad responses from B&O about reports to adverts. Got so fed up with one seller with a website also registered in the cocos islands that I hounded out all of his B&O adverts and reported each and every one of them. Then I ran a whois and reported the domain to the domain registrar and his website was shutdown within 4 hours or so....... Little effect but kept me amused for a few hours.

JK - is it worth a *.co.cc sticky? I don't think anyone has actually been stung but it has come up several times?
The Boats and Outboards guy's username is "boats" I think. I'll PM him, but whilst he might take action on these posts they are clearly not that bothered about fixing the underlying problem (presumably scams still bring the advertising revenue!).

I had occasion to report a dodgy outboad ad to the team at B&O, they emailed back promptly, confirming a scam and removed the ad. I was quite impressed.
