yep they are very well made put the boat in the water before you buy it and make sure you are happy with the ride/ you see a lt of old onesaround which is a very good indicator of quality construction

Built like the preverbial Brick outhouse, but in all honestly not that well finished. They are also a little heavy for their size so not the fastest.

I love mine by the way, it's proved itself in some quite harsh conditions and would buy another.

Nasher.

This is the one, how much would a tidy 1997 model with nice Mariner 90 go for?

All fully serviced up with full kit and good hull and tubes......£6000/£7000 at a guess.

So 5k is a bit of a bargain then, how do they compare to Osprey? as another guy locally has offered me his 1993 Osprey Viper

Nasher.
We were out in Nashers one a couple of years ago on a VERY nasty day (there was a moment when I think we all thought the boat was going to flip) but apart from that we lived to tell the tale and compared to a lot of boats it was a pretty solid ride!

I worked for Ocean for a short time a few years ago. They're not a company I would choose to do business with.

Their boats are generally not too bad, although build quality has been variable so check it over carefully. If the boat checks out OK and the price is right then you may have a good deal.

If you're buying new then there are almost certainly better options.

RIBase
Purely in the interest of giving a different / balanced view, my experience of both the boat and the company has been positive............

Try a search for "Ocean Winsor" to see related threads.........

If you want a second opinion before buying, then I'm also in Fareham.
