You may pay less at first but by having Olmec tubes on your boat you may find you get little use in the water and a devalued boat at the end you will find some postings on this matter if you do a search

Do not get near Olmec if you need a good job and warrenty!!!
In the long run, Henshaw is much better priced and you do not have to deal with all the problems on Olmec tubes and the fact that they have a very poor warrenty. We have had two boats from Olmec and we have also talked to other owners o ribs with Olmec-tubes.
The problems have been several. The worst and most dangerous was that the cone came off out in open sea with 14 people on bord, and the entire boat was flodded!

This hasn't allways been the case !

Ed'd done some great work over the years. In my opinion (not really any of my business) its all been down to getting (or not getting) good staff. A guy called Will who worked there was a great tuber, since Will left (without notice one night, With a load of Ed'd patterns) things seem to have gone down hill.

Anyone who knoes Ed personally will know hes a great guy, im sure he will get thing sorted out and the best of luck to him.

I have Olmec tubes on my Prosport (in its 4 th year now) with no problems with the tubes or the rib. Just the engine, and that was sorted under warranty. Henshaws I have heard mixed reports, some good and some bad and if the tubes are bad they are very bad. But I have no first hand experience of them.

In the north Euromarine (or is it Eurocraft) seem to have a good name.

A friends 5.4 SR was re-tubed by Olmec about 3 years ago to an excellent standard with no issues that I know of so far.

Most of the big makers use Henshaws and they are very good. Paul Tilley is a true craftsman and his tubes are excellent.

Absolutely, Chris at Henshaws repaired a tear in the rear cone similar to BogMonsters problems in August for us. You can't even see the repair. Price was good and quick turn around given the time of year, excellent service

Oh how I wish I lived within trailer distance of Messrs Tilley or Henshaw...

I assume because it’s the company and not the individual person
