Hi I insure my cruiser with craftinsure who are very cheap & are only online all pollicies are paid monthly & you print the paperwork
I tend to treat insurance as a nessessary evil that I will probably not use & therefore go for the cheapest & always thought that if I needed to claim that it would be a struggle & would probably lose out a bit because i bought cheep
about 18 months ago we had a fire where the boat gear was stored over winter lost a 10" plotter full set of canopies lifejackets foulies etc etc about 6k worth
I contacted craftinsure with tears in my eyes expecting the *sorry sir but equipment is not covered away from the vessel" type of reply but no the guy said it sounds like you should have a claim as you tried to minimise the risk by removing equipment from the vessel

sure enough we got the estimates & sent them in they made a few small adjustments for age & paid in full
the process was easy & they were always easy to get on the phone & made the entire process as simple as possible

so i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND CRAFTINSURE.COM

out policy for the boat prior to claim boat value at the time £40k £18.88 per month

policy now after claim & purchacing bigger boat valued at £100k £45.00 per month

you can get qoutes online without inputing loads of rubbish data too!

seems too good to be true but it isnt!!!!

I Use insure my boat - an online company.

Was paying about £85 on the 4m with a 2K value.

Not sure what the 4.7 will be but they charged me another £80 for a 6 month top up - 7K value.
