I fail to believe that you've been "around" the forum for so long and haven't picked up on the discussions about Prosport..... Codders will be along shortly to put you straight..

Before Codders puts his ore in......I have had dealings with the previous owner of ProSport and his workmanship and helpfulness is second to none.
Prosport ribs are aimed at the more affordable end of the market hence the cost. I looked at a beautiful Black Prosport before i bought mine which looked and handled superb (maybe a bit of a hard ride, but damn quick!)
As for the Rib advertised looks like great value for a sub 20k rib.
Just remember there is always two sides to every story...

The owners says he gets 29 knots out of it with 9 people on board, and it cruises at 25.

It wont be slow it will be painful. The owner is trying to sell it, our opinions are unbiased. If it were a 130hp O/B it would be sluggish, but as it's an inboard it will be gutless.

What would be the reason for fitting such a soppy engine combo? Surely you'd be flogging the thing to such an extent there would no fuel saving over a bigger engine. The outdrive would be no cheaper and he minimal engine cost saving would be negated by a diving residual. Ah well, each to their own.

Not everyone is a 100% speed freak you know. Going by its colours and fitout it looks a little more industrial than high speed. It is presumably a similar length to a Pac22 and if I remember correctly they have a similar size engine. A Pac22 presumably weighs significantly more...

Yes and you have obviously only heard the one!!!
I was also fooled into thinking he was a decent bloke...........
When you have been led to believe that a trailer was included in the price and the best he could come up with was "Ah but I didn't say what sort of trailer" it makes you think!!!

As to Prosport RIBs themselves they are great boats - mine will be my ideal RIB when I have done a few little jobs that should have been done before I had it.
They are great VFM and the hulls are amazing. The hull is a Revenger clone but with more beam and a fuller bow section - possibly one of the best all round designs. A very dry ride and very soft landings in rough conditions.

Sorry Codders no trick photography, just a 8mt prosport doing its thing!!!
Ive been ribbing for over 25 years now and your telling me you never got wet in a force 9....I was in a force 9 once on a ferry, wagons got smashed the shop inside was awash with broken bottles of booze, the waves where breaking over the bow and washing the lifeboats out of there cradles, all outside doors locked to stop the sea comming in....BUT in your prosport you never got wet...... Me thinks its time for you to get out, for some fresh air.
