Options to test RIB under load near Watford UK

Hi, based in Watford Hertfordshire and looking for somewhere local that we (I'm part of a BSAC dive club based in Bushey) can launch our 4.5m Humber RIB for testing purposes.
Normally launch down on the South Coast, but this is usually a 2.5hr drive - so looking for somewhere closer.
Have been having issues with engine as per a previous post, ever since the change in unleaded - which has resulted in some wasted trips of late as the boat is simply not performing. After a full carb clean we think we have it cracked but running the engine with ears, isn't sufficient to risk a wasted trip to the south coast :-)

Need somewhere local, ie a watersports centre or other facility that will let us test out the boat (get up on the plane etc). In return we are happy to offer to survey an area, provide some rescue cover or even look at removing some underwater debris.

Open to ideas!

Have you thought about the Thames? Bit closer than the south coast. No speed restrictions past the Thames barrier (Margretness)

Somewhere like Greenwich Yacht Club are close to the barrier and I'm sure they would let you launch if you ask them

Just under 3NM beyond the Thames Barrier to get to the unrestricted area. I'm sure I could help facilitate at GYC, although still not an unreasonable length journey round the M25 and in to get here!
