I don't think it's a crompton but who else makes/made hard nose ribs?

It has a very fine entry bow, certainly distinctive..

No chance either, the hard nose is all wrong.

Too long for a Merlin, not that I have any picture of one anyway, wrong nose for sparrowhawk or Eagle. Not an XR according to Nugent..definitely not a lynx.

Unless it is a baby seaharrier...?

Pic 1 Sparrowhawk
Pic 2 Seaharrier think the pic is a 7m ish MAX version but there is a smaller one too

I might have been thinking of a seaharrier. My first rib was a 6.4m osprey with an inboard OMC Cobra V6. It looked very similar. I'll try to dig some old photos out when I'm home.

Agreed, would be awesome fun

Especially if you convert the engine to avgas...

I doubt it will have a plate anyway because it is probably older than 96 so doesn't need one. Still, without actually knowing what it is, insurance could indeed be tricky to get hold of. I have been looking through the library of pictures I have for various reasons today and I haven't come across anything that looks remotely like it.

It's got the wrong hull and nose cone for any of the Osprey models. Perhaps if someone measured it that would help? If it is more like 5.1m then it could be a Marlin?

I'm pretty sure it was 6.1 and I'm not by any means saying avoid it! It was great fun and had one hell of a power pick up, just dont use the latter end of it

Be a great package with a smaller lump, say a 150 Opti ?

It's not an eagle, there was a rhib very similar to this on ebay around 6 months ago, but it was a 7m and not an Osprey.
