You wonder if "...if we wind you up some more your spring might break".
I very much doubt in your case that the "royal we" would be applicable, so I wonder which group of people you refer to that are in fact winding me up?
To reassure you, I'm not wound up at all, but given your reaction to my posts perhaps you don't take criticism too well.
If I see a post of yours describing something you did such as shouting an expletive (and you stated that clearly in your post) in front of families, then I shall post a critical comment.
If that bores you, so be it. But I hope it will make you think twice before doing it again.
This Timw guy has hovered under my radar until now. Having done a sweep of some of his past posts, it would appear that he specializes in petty 'wind-ups' and has very little else to offer, including humour.
A psychiatrist may find him interesting.

It was the extra 500mm of 'cock' to his right that did the damage.

But of course...
I've have considerable experience with a variety of RIBS (including the Osprey) and other craft so am well qualified to comment.
I said they were average which really means they have reasonable points and poorer points equalling each other but nothing spectacular each way. I don't have the the inclination to write a complete review, but here are 3 points either way.
Good
Quality of Glass Fibre lay up and thickness is good resulting in a strong hull
The hull grips well on fast tight turns with little noticable slide
Stable at rest
Poor
A wet ride
A relatively slow hull due to design
Poor quality of electrics
These are from my own obervations and from someone I know very well who own an Osprey Vipermax.
So "average" may be a little harsh but best to ensure the price being asked justifies the boat.

Sorry, no time. I've got to go to Gunwharf to rewire a Ribeye. Now, the switch panels on those, quality bits of kit. Not like the shite you find on an Osprey. And as for the cabling, well, I never did like the tinned stuff, harder to bend.

QUOTE=timw;238288] .
The RIB is going to be sold because of a new nipper, and spending more time on the slower part of the Thames up at Richmond, and a cabin cruiser is on the cards.
RIB Snapper (famous for being the lead camera boat for the filming of Harry Potter 5) is going to be sold.
A deep clean and light refurb is planned and then it will make someone a super fun RIB [/QUOTE]
He'll be off soon if the price is right

It'll need to be a largish cabin. Yer man likes a pie by the look of things.

From the pictures of him on the Solent on Friday, it looks like your Osprey owning friend Chris might have got to the pies first.

You may spot my fine old Ribeye down in Cornwll as apparantly that's where its now located.
In case you see it and decide to have a "chat", to save any awkwardness I thought you should be aware that the driver / owner isn't me

I hope not .. I rather enjoy timw's pompous remarks, he is so far removed from reality, that it enlightens the rest of us yokels how we should view society, the weather, and everything, keep it up young man

Around £17,500 would be a reasonable purchase price.
