Does anyone know this 6.5...

I think Whisper looked at it, was it "up to snuff"?

Hummm, yes and no. It was the seller that put me off, I had to walk away on the day of collection

I looked at it in London and Roy helped me loads during the potential purchase thanks to Chris

It looked a bit tired, teak decking stuff was coming up at the front and the seats were all split and under the back seat was a bit smelly. Think the tubes were looking faded too?

Not a bad boat but glad that I turned it down as I got much more for my money buying my Ribcraft 585.

The seller was a member of ribnet but I don't think he comes on here much.

Worth a look if you can knock the price down, but get a survey and an engineer to check the engine

That boat was pictured on the old Osprey website, It was advertised/sold on ebay about 18 months ago for about 15k(I think), I looked at it at the time as it was only about 5 miles from me.

Roy built it for his friend, then it was sold to a guy in the midlands/ Northampton? It was then sold to a guy who lived near the Harry Potter attraction near Watford, that's where I looked at it.

I'm pretty sure that it was used as the Osprey demonstrator. It was the first one built with the rear splashwell hence the slightly different upholstery.

Where does he use it Kerns? I've never seen'un.

I'm suprised that you haven't made him an insulting offer and then had a game of musical engines with it.

He's a dealer, lives at Sticker but has a few boats In his new yard, he used to import hard boats from the States but £$ rate no longer works for him. Knew nothing about Ribs until last couple of years, otherwise I'd have made the offer! ( you can't make an insulting offer on a vibro BTW :-)

I think I met the guy in Fowey, he was tied up behind us on the visitors pontoon. He had a Yank hardboat with a V8 that wouldn't start. Bit of a flash geezer type, knew diddly squat about boats.

Tied up in Fowey with an engine that wouldn't start and being clueless as to why not, unbelievable
