Designed to take 1/2 tonne payload very quickly, popular in Gibraltar in the mid 90s . Nice boats, narrow and fast. Worth doing a search on here for there history. There was one for sale in Portsmouth a couple of years ago white GRP and black tubes. However there were some differences which made me think it wasn't finished by Osprey but by Vector who made the hulls under contract for Osprey down in Cornwall. Another, yellow and black sat in Drivers Wharf was used as a race boat, complete shambles.
The mould is still available.

Vector also made their own ribs, the 'Vagabond' range built here in the 'Mighty' Borough of Penryn. It was 'very' closely related to the xr24. Kidd and Bloor, the guys that ran Vector raced one and did the 'Round Britain' a couple of times with twin 'Rude 90's on the back I think.

Best thing to come out of Penryn remains the A39 though!
Bloor wouldn't be the same Bloor that relaunched Triumph motorcycles would it?

And the best thing about the A39 is that it goes nowhere near St Austell!

Yes, but stay on it long enough and you get to Barnstaple-home of inbreeding and traffic jams.

I've sold it a year ago.
Would like to find a new one though.

The xr24 is now being made new in various types.
I have send them a mail today.

I got talking to the chap who wanted to revive the design, and was originally interested in buying one to use as a charter boat. We discussed a number of features that I felt were important in a RIB, primarily to be used as a charter RIB. They ended up developing some of these, which I gave feedback on. The most notable being the jockey seat which you can store a life raft under.
Not really much involvement, but an interesting project never the less.

So, who owns the design now? Damian Bloor was the guy whom developed the Vector boats from which the XR 24 evolved.
