Update:

Started laminating the side by side console.
Busy with painting the deck, and sanding the hull.
I've already stripped the antifauling wich was in bad condition.
Have to repair spots on the keel, where the gelcoat is damaged deu to beaching.
A layer of non slip paint is painted on the deck.
The hull will be painted with HB coating (high build coating) and am not sure if i will use antifauling again.

hi fr@nky looks like you got your work cut out on that boat but thats the fun bit hey! using its the easy bit and your right the tank under deck was a ballast system to try and make em sit better in water when un loaded, think dive boat spec ?

And still busy with my xr20.
Antifauling is removed, have to repair some chips of the keel and sprayrails.
After that i will paint the hull with high build boating.
The steering console made good progress and is ready to install on deck.
Now also busy with deck locker for bucket seats.

The console looks good! Your keel/pad is totally different to mine, I guess that's as a result of the jet unit in the past. What engine are you planning to fit?

Hi Paul,

I've noticed that the v-pad has a different shape, that was shown on the pictures that you send me.
I'm planning for a 150 optimax, but a 140 or 200 fourstroke suzuki could be a option.
It al depends on my budget.
For now i've made a deal with a friend of mine for a 2003 150hp optimax.

I think the 150 opti is a good choice, I think a 4 stroke 200 would be too heavy and upset the balance. My bow was riding quite high yesterday, so there is no shortage of lift from the hull design, which is a good thing for high speeds if the rest of the boat is well balanced

Hello Guys,

After a lot of work just before the Summer Holidays the xr20 is ready to use.
This winter we are going to work on all the details.
Spray on the photo is coming deu to the set back.
This was my first long test run so i still have to get used using the lift at the proper heigt.

Wish list:
A-frame
Bench seat at the back
Keel guard
Vhf radio
chart plotter.

As you can read a lot to before the xr is totally ready

I'm curious what you guys think of my xr

I'm very pleased with the handling.
Altough i still got to "learn" the boathandling.
There is a slight balance problem to portside, so we will give the engine an offset.
In time i'l decide if i need a ballast tank in the hard nose for use in rough conditions.

@5600 RPM and not yet totally trimmed up she goes 83 Km/H with a 150 hp Optimax, Laser2 21pitch Ssteel

Now i have to experience what the right heigt is of te lift for the best allround performance.
And after that what the best height is for top speed @ WOT with flat water.

44 knots to us

I'm sorry, but we are not very familiar with knots.
I don't know how to convert km/h to knots.
........google is your best friend.......but i tought that you guys would also understand km/h.
And to my opinion not bad at all for the first trails, i'm very pleased with it.

We do, but brits prefer knots..
